Meeting Minutes
Thursday, July 17, 2008
Members Present: Jeanette Colpitt, John Fitch, Deb Scanlon, JoAnn Doke

Selectman Present: Joan Funk
- Signs – the parking lot sign did not turn out as nice as expected – a thank you will be sent to the shop class when resumes in the fall. Deb Scanlon treated the students to ice cream – she declined reimbursement.
- Decals – Cindy not at meeting – will ask her to bring for the August meeting. Deb has created a spreadsheet for keeping track of which businesses purchase the decals and will email it to JoAnn.
- Publicity – more discussion on promoting “shop local.” JoAnn asked Ed to put a blurb on Ch. 26 – which he has done. Perhaps the Puddledock could highlight a business a month.
- Directory – Joan will ask Brandy to get the disk form out list to Megan for updated directories. Brandy has been excused from taking minutes.
- Car Wash – discussion on hosting a car wash with a raffle ticket for each person/car. Hold a drawing for $400 of oil (local business). Further discussion on asking businesses to come down and handout brochures, coupons, business cards, etc. Joan said she would ask the Gridiron club to wash the cars. JoAnn will create a flyer for businesses, promote the event and go to the selectmen for permission. Jeanette offered to do posters for the downtown area. JoAnn Doke motioned to accept this carwash project, 2nd Joan Funk. Motion carried with all in favor. More plans at August meeting, as the date is set for Sept. 13, with a rain date of Sept. 14.
Joan Funk motioned to adjourn, 2nd John Fitch. Motion carried with all in favor.
