Minutes of January 14, 2009 Farmington Conservation Commission Meeting
Present: Kristy Vickers Holtz, David Connolly, James Horgan, Randy Orvis
Meeting called to order at 6:15 pm
- Dave & Kristy report that Davenport acquisition has been completed, discussion ensued about whether money for closing cost came from the Conservation Commission or from the Town Budget. We have 1 year to erect a sign. Dave will get price and we will find out if it needs to go out to bid
- Motion to accept December minutes by Jim, seconded by Dave with amendments as follows: correct Sam Reeves to Sam Reid
add Anna Boudreau
correct Kristy Marquis to Kristy Holtz
spelling corrections
Motion Passes
- Jim brings up that Strafford County Conservation District’s funding has been cut and that they have a meeting on January 15, 2009
- Dave opens discussion on French Property clearing within the woodcock management area, to be put on the agenda for February
- Dave opens discussion on signs for the town forest, to be put on agenda for February
- Dave opens discussion on informational signs for town properties managed by the Conservation Commission, he shows the board samples he obtained form NH Gish & Game and samples of what is available thru the NH State Prison, Dave will get prices and report back in February
- Kristy looks for a summary of items to be included in the annual report of the Conservation Commission for the Annual Town Report
- Discussion began about meeting conflicts with other boards
- Discussion began about proposed easements in the Sheepboro Road area
- Motion to adjourn by Jim, seconded by Dave, Motion Passes
