BUDGET COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
Wednesday – January 20, 2010
356 Main Street - Farmington, NH
Members Present: Jim Horgan, Sam Cataldo, Chris Somma, Brian St.Onge, Ann Titus and Cindy Snowdon.
Members Excused: Mike Morin, Arthur Capello and Chris Biron
Selectmen's Rep: Gail Ellis
School Board Rep: Ken Dickie (absent)
Vice-Chairman Brian St. Onge opened the meeting at 7:00pm.
1. Review of Minutes:
- Ann Titus motioned to accept the minutes of 11-24-09 as written, 2nd Jim Horgan. Motion carried.
- Ann Titus motioned to accept the minutes of 12-8-09 as amended, 2nd Jim Horgan. Discussion followed in which Gail stated she believes Ms. Langa stated she made the choice several years ago to let the high school accreditation drop due to budgetary constraints. Brandy will review the video taping of the meeting. Motion withdrawn.
Jim Horgan motioned to table the minutes of 12-8-09, 2nd Ann Titus. Motion carried.
- Ann Titus motioned to accept the minutes of 12-10-09 as amended to reflect a spelling change, 2nd Jim Horgan. Motion carried.
- Ann Titus motioned to accept the minutes of 12-16-09 as amended to reflect a spelling change, 2nd Jim Horgan. Motion carried.
2. Set Town Budget Review Dates:
- Brian informed the committee of that the last day to post notice is February 5th, the last day to hold a hearing is February 12th and the last day to sign is February 17th.
- The committee scheduled the town budget review dates for 1/26, 2/3 and 2/9 with a continuance or snow date of 2/10. The public hearing is scheduled for 2/11 with a snow date of 2/12.
- Cindy informed the Board she will not be available the week of 2/15/10 to sign the approved budgets.
Jim Horgan motioned to adjourn, 2nd Chris Somma. Motion carried at 7:42pm.
