Meeting Minutes
Members Present: Deb Cantwell, Ann Titus, Michael Morin, Gail Ellis, Joe Pitre, School Board Rep. Rich Cilley and Selectman's Rep. Martin Gilman
Public Present: Butch Lewis, Scott Morris, Sue Pleau, Bonnie Tellis, Josh Olstad, Diane Pitre and Deborah Briggs
Meeting called to order by Vice-Chairman Mike Morin at 7:07pm
Facilities Budget Proposal: Scott Morris explained the budget has a little over $68,000 in increases due to contractual increases like electricity, phone and garbage. Scott stated that his budget has actual decrease of $7041.91 if you don't count the contractual increases. A few specific lines were discussed, they are;
1. Page 5 - $11,500 increase in fire because the system needs to be updated to the new one.
2. Boiler Systems Control up $27,400 because moved out of repairs and put under contract.
3. Ballfield Maintenance line - $7000 for new softball and baseball scoreboards.
Food Service Budget Proposal: Diane Pitre reported that the 1.47% increase was due to the salaries, insurance and food costs.
Special Education Budget Proposal: Sue Pleau presented the proposed budget. The following lines were noted;
1. 10-1200-3308 - this is a contract for services to decrease the amount of dropouts.
2. 10-1200-5690 - much of this is court mandated
3. 10-2150-1120 - salary budgeted incorrectly last year
4. 10-2160-3301 - A physical therapist who is contracted in to the schools
Transportation Budget Proposal: Bonnie Tellis reported on this budget and noted the drivers' salaries were increased by 3.3% and the coordinator at 3.8%.
The Technology Budget was presented by Josh Olstad but no items were questioned.
