Public Hearing on a proposed Limited Development Agreement between the Town and Casco Bay Hockey Association regarding the construction of a new ice rink on property owned by the Town and commonly know as the Village Park Ice Rink.

A public comment period will be included with this item (5 minutes).

ACTION: Council action is not anticipated.
Summary:
The Casco Bay Hockey Association presented to the Town Council on January 27 their proposal to partner with the Town of Falmouth and Falmouth Family Ice to improve the Village Park Hockey Rink by building a seasonal, refrigerated, covered hockey rink pavillion to be operated November to March. This proposal will require two actions by the Town Council if it is to move forward. First, the Town Council will need to amend the Zoning and Site Plan Review Ordinance to allow the structure in this location as well as exempt it from site plan review in order to meet the anticipated construction schedule. Second, the Town Council will need to enter into a Limited Development Agreeement that will, among other things, identify the terms and conditions of a lease if the Town Council chooses to lease the land to the Casco Bay Hockey Association.
