Subject	Ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 17 Traffic and Motor Vehicles, to regulate wreckers and vehicle towing. A public comment period will not be included with this item because a public hearing was held regarding this matter at an earlier date. ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Summary:	The Police Department is proposing an ordinance to provide guidelines as well as regulations to the companies that provide towing services for the police department. This ordinance is also meant to ensure that a motorist is not charged an excessive fee for towing services.
