The Town Council has previously adopted a Capital Improvement Plan and Policy and a Fund Balance Policy.
Staff has previously developed and utilized an Investment Policy without formal Council adoption.
There are two other policies that should be developed including a Debt Policy and Post Issuance Compliance and Monitoring Policy.
Adoption of these policies, including several amendments, will formalize past practice and offer future elected and appointed officials with direction for financial management expectations.
