Joint public hearing with the Planning Board for a series of amendments to the Zoning and Site Plan Review Ordinance and the Code of Ordinances to replace the SB District on Route One with new Village Center Districts.

A public comment period will be included with this item. (5 minutes per person)

Summary:

The CDC began its review work of the 2005 Route One Study five years ago at the request of the Town Council. Subsequently the Council asked the CDC to develop a plan for the evolution of the Route One business area to a village center with a focus on increased density and mixed use. This zoning amendment is the result of 2 years of work by the CDC to develop new zoning for the area. It is designed to work in conjunction with the Route One South Infrastructure Plan, also developed by the Committee.

Please find attached an introduction letter from the CDC, a cover memo explaining the attachments, and the six components of the zoning amendment.
