Subject:
Order to go into Executive Session pursuant to the Laws of Maine to discuss the possible acquisition of land, pursuant to 1 M.R.S.A. § 405 (6) (C).

ACTION: Council action is possible regarding the acquisition of property.
Summary:
Sale and redevelopment of the Plummer-Motz and Lunt school complex necessitates conversion of Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) restrictions placed on at that site in 1981. The Council has identified several properties as potential "replacement properties" for these restrictions.

The Town is currently in process of conducted so-called "yellow book" appraisals of these sites. Appraised values of replacement properties need to exceed $1.25MM, which is the yellow book appraised value of the Plummer-Motz and Lunt site.

The Town Council may vote, immediately following the executive session, to authorize the Town Manager to acquire certain property or properties.
