There seems to have been a miscommunication regarding the establishment of the new Veterans Memorial Committee. The six committee members appointed by the Council on March 26 wanted to be part of a working group with the American Legion and not on a Council appointed committee. (It is likely that a couple of these volunteers may want to be on the Council appointed committee as well.)
Knowing that there are fewer initial requests to serve on the Committee, we are also recommending the Committee size be reduced to 5 members from the previously approved 9.
An order reflecting these changes is attached. |
