Staff will present an update on the performance of the curb side recycling program from July 2011 through February 2012. In July 2011, the Town eliminated the drop-off containers, aka "Silver Bullets", and moved to weekly curb-side residential service. Staff will present a report that will demonstrate the performance of the program during this time period. REAC members have reviewed the recycling report and issued a recommendation.
Staff will also update the Town Council on new efforts to increase commercial recycling. REAC members have reviewed the potential new program and are enthusiastic about its implementation.
