Councilor Tony Payne requested this item be on the agenda for a general discussion concerning the Town's ongoing membership or partnership with Metro.
The controlling documents regarding the Town's partnership with Metro include By-Laws and a state law 30-A M.R.S.A Sec 3505. The By-Laws are attached. We have also attached a graph depicting ridership trends. The 2011 statistics include data through October, 2011. The projected ridership for 2011 should equal or exceed ridership in 2010. Finally, the third attachment includes a monthy ridership data comparison for Falmouth Route 7 compared to all other routes in the district. The comparison also includes several years of history.
An updated Metro budget letter including recent budget projections is expected to be received by the Town on November 14, 2011. A copy of the letter will be attached as soon at it is received. |
