For purposes of applying net residential area requirements and setbacks and buffers for wetlands and vernal pools, the current ordinance states that existing nonconforming lots lose their nonconforming status if the lot is reconfigured in any way. This amendment would preserve the nonconforming status for Section 5.31, Net Residential Area and Section 5.38, Buffers to Wetlands and Vernal Pools where the reconfiguration is due to the purchase or easement of a portion of the lot for purposes of protection of or access to natural resources. |
