Order to authorize the Town Manager or his designees to post seasonal weight limits of 23,000 pounds (listed GVW) on certain local roads, per the authority granted in Falmouth Code of Ordinances Chapter 17, Article IV, Section 17.

Summary: |
The Parks and Public Works Director is prepared to present a brief overview of the proposed roads to be considered for seasonal posting. A copy of the applicable section of the Falmouth Code of Ordinances is attached (Chapter 17, Article IV, Section 17). Also attached are the following: a summary memo from the Parks and Public Works Director and a map depicting the streets to be considered for posting.
Roads include: Mast Road, Mountain Road, Woodville Road (from Woods to Winn), Lunt Road (from Falmouth to Middle), Merrill Road, Johnson Road (from Route 1 to Foreside), and Ledgewood Drive. Such limits may be posed and lifted, at the discretion of the Town Manager or his designees, anytime between March 1, 2011 and May 1, 2011, and such discretion shall be based on road condition, weather conditions and temperature. |
