The Council will discuss the Community Facilities project:
  • consider draft consensus-building ground rules,
  • vote on a draft resolution regarding the space needs of the Falmouth Memorial Library,
  • review dates for the council process timeline,
  • discuss the disposition process for the Pleasant Hill Fire Station and portable classrooms, and
  • determine its next steps in its Community Facilities Process.
ACTION: Council action is anticipated
Summary:
The Community Facilities Planning Committee, at the request of the Town Council, made recommendations to address the needs of the Falmouth Memorial Library, Town Hall, Food Pantry, Community Recreation Center, Pleasant Hill Fire Station, and Plummer-Motz and Lunt school site.

At its September 27, 2010, the Council reviewed a staff memo and discussed a consensus-based process to address the facilities issue. On October 18, 2010, the Council held a workshop to discuss the space needs of the Falmouth Memorial Library.

The following documents are attached:
- revised Council process memo (suggested timeline added);
- suggested set of ground rules; and
- draft resolution regarding the space needs of the Falmouth Memorial Library; and
- Consultant Report, Lushington Associates, October 22, 2010.

Public comment will be taken.
