The Council will discuss the Community Facilities project and:
  • consider a draft resolution regarding the space needs of the Falmouth Memorial Library,
  • review the space needs for a Falmouth Community Recreation Center,
  • review a draft Request for Qualifications for Developers, and
  • determine its next steps in the Community Facilities Process.
ACTION: Council action is anticipated
Summary:
Public comment of up to 3 minutes will be allowed on the attached resolution. Several Town Councilors have indicated they will consider and support a procedural motion to suspend Council Rules so the public can ask clarifying questions or comment on any other matter listed under this agenda item.

The Town Council is considering the needs of the Falmouth Memorial Library, Town Hall, Food Pantry, Community Recreation Center, Pleasant Hill Fire Station, and Plummer-Motz and Lunt school site.

On October 25, 2010, the Council received the final Lushington report regarding space needs for the Falmouth Memorial Library, postponed a decision on the library's space needs, and directed staff to prepare a Request for Qualifications for private development proposals.
