In agenda item 9 of this meeting, the Town Council will discuss municipal services and categorization of essential or core services and those services that can be defined as beyond core or essential services "core" and "core+" municipal services. This general discussion will also provide some guidance in budget development for FY11 and beyond.
The Council's Finance Committee has developed a survey that will ask residents for their input/opinion on several municipal programs and services. The Finance Committee developed many of the survey questions based on "core+" municipal programs and services. The Town Council will need to evaluate the Finance Committee's assumptions and categorization of the municipal services and programs identified in the proposed survey.
