The fiscal year 2010 budget included a revenue projection with fee increases associated with the handling and processing of items disposed at the transfer station. The Town Council conceptually approved the new fee schedule during budget development and a formal order is required per Falmouth Code of Ordinances, Chapter 13, Sec. 13-12. We have attached a document titled Falmouth Transfer Station Operations Manual for 2009. There are three proposed alternatives to adjust the fee schedule. The first alternative was proposed during budget development. The second proposal includes a method of fee collection that will not permit cash collections at the transfer station and adjusts all fees in $5 increments. Coupons or large item tags can be purchased at several retail locations throughout town and the town office. The final alternative eliminates the fees per item and increases the vehicle sticker from $1/year to $20/year. |
