This item was introduced by Councilor Libby at the September 22 meeting. The Council held a public hearing on this item at the October 27 regular meeting. Since that time, another modification has been made, which stipulates the need for a second public hearing. The purpose of this modification is to prevent those who have served between 18 and 24 months of their second, and last, term on a Board from being automatically "term limited" out as of December 31, provided that they serve a one-year term only, beginning January 1, 2009. |
