Roll Call Present and answering roll call: Steve Hendry, John Henson, Bill McMahon, Satoria Pelton, Jay Reynolds, Bonny Rodden
Item 1 New Meeting Time
· Some committee members have conflicts with the current meeting time. A new meeting time was discussed to help accommodate all members.
· The new meeting time is the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 PM
· This makes the next meeting Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 4:00 PM
Item 2 New Chairman
· Kelly Fernald has stepped down as the chairperson of the committee due to other commitments. Thank you for your many years chairing the committee Kelly.
· Steve Hendry was elected the new committee chairman
Item 3 Budget Cuts
· Silver bullet hauling costs, bulky items at the transfer station and the fee schedule at the transfer station will all be reviewed as part of reducing the overall budget.
· The transfer station fee schedule will be reviewed at the next meeting
· The idea of raising more revenue from the Bargain Barn was raised. Satoria will check in with prices charged at Cape Elizabeth’s facility.
Item 4 ecoMaine Recycling Award
· Falmouth High School student Ben Boudreau was Falmouth’s nominee for the ecoMaine Recycling Award. Ben was a finalist for the overall award.
Item 5 Agenda for March Recycling Committee meeting
· The next Recycling Committee Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 11 at 4:00 PM at Parks & Public Works
