I. Recycling at Schools
A. Skip spoke to Troiano about collecting recyclables at schools. Troiano is going to come up with cost estimates for this service and get back to Skip.
B. Skip was scheduled to meet with Pine Tree Waste on September 13 to review costs for collecting recyclables at schools, as well as Pride Farm and Rockaway.
I. Reviewing Curbside Recycling Results
A. At the October Recycling Committee meeting we will review numbers for tons of recyclables vs. trash collected since curbside recycling was implemented. This could be used to provide a preliminary report on curbside recycling.
II. New Procedure for Meeting Attendance
A. To help better predict the attendance at a meeting Bonnie will send a note on the Friday before the meeting to ask if anyone will not be able to attend the meeting. If there will not be a quorum at the meeting the meeting will be rescheduled.
B. Please watch for Bonnie’s note and reply immediately if you will not be able to attend.
III. Future Events
A. Also at the October Recycling Committee meeting the committee will begin discussing ideas for an Earth Day event Please start thinking of ideas to help promote recycling and solid waste reduction overall.
