(This will be a joint meeting with the School Board Finance Committee)
1. Discussion about anticipated changes and challenges in the FY14 budget including potential impact from State budget cuts.
a. Municipal and School department revenue reductions – impact from proposed State budget.
b. Municipal and School Department conceptual expenditure increases to maintain status quo regardless of State budget impact.
c. Budget development and property tax guidance considering multiple scenarios of revenue reductions and possible expenditure increases/decreases to achieve necessary/desired services.
2. Discussion about unfunded capital projects which have been part of conceptual consideration in the past along with emerging and re-emerging projects.
a. Municipal unfunded capital projects (including but not limited to: new facilities, Town Hall renovation, River Point bridge, Community Park RR Crossing, TIF District projects, and others).
b. School Department unfunded capital projects (including but not limited to several Middle School renovation projects).
c. Initial discussion about prioritizing unfunded capital project.
