9/10: Dr. Dom & Karen walked through Plummer-Motz with lucky to discuss potential uses
9/17: Regular meeting rest of committee did a walkthrough of P/M
Discussed uses as community center (meeting space)
Discussed needs around technology upgrades
Discussed selling commercial kitchen equipment and replacing with regular appliances for staff use and limited events: committee agreed
Parks Update: Lucky
Fall Classic: went well and good feedback on collaboration. Scheduling helped parking at community field. Great leadership and support from Parks.
Filling in areas of Community Park where fields need it.
Gearing up for readying areas for coming winter.
FCP Update: Lucky
Good enrollment. Chess offering very popular.
Discussed potential to open Shawnee Peak Skiing to grades 4&5
Lucky attended National Conference
Good ideas for Senior programming (Letters to my Grandchildren)
Found out about some free apps for programming
Will be sharing at upcoming staff meeting
Mason/Motz Update: Lucky
Lucky shared memo to Nathan on Mason/Motz recommendation.
Mason/Motz PACPAC recommendation on agenda for next night’s council meeting (10/16). Recommend continued use of Mason/Motz as a community center with upgrades for code requirements, safety, HVACC and technology.
Seeing increased current use for fitness type programs. #s up due to availability for daytime programming.
