Meeting Minutes from 3/20/12
The meeting was called to order at 4:34pm
Present: Judy Currier , Lucky D’Ascanio, Karen Jones, Marylou Murphy, Bonnie Troubh, Dr. Dom, Jay Reynolds
The minutes from January 17, 2012 were approved.
Parks Division Report
- Bids are out for 1A field improvements at Community Park. Work is expected to be done from June 18-August 21
- The last two dugouts at Senior Field and Little Legion are in and that project is completed. Work was done by LL.
- “Blue Monster” proposal was reviewed again and Jay will draft a response with the committees concerns and recommendations. The committee discussed concern regarding safety issues and visual impact (ie., the rear façade matching the front and if lighting would be needed) and insurance.
FCP Update – Lucky D’Ascanio
- Summer program is in the final stages and concert dates have been set
- Lucky will be in Washington, DC next week for the NRPA Legislative Forum on behalf of MRPA
- School properties – A complete inventory has been done of the Plummer-Motz and Lunt buildings. A public auction/sale is set for April 27 from 9am-12pm.
Other Business
- Annual Parks tour is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15 at 4:00pm and it was suggested to include a tour of the Motz School and Mason Gymnasium as part of the tour.
