                                                Meeting Minutes from 11/16/10
The meeting was called to order at 4:00
Present: Judy Currier , Lucky D’Ascanio, Janet Dye, Karen Jones, Jeff Mason, Marylou
Murphy, Faith Varney
Guests: Marsha Clark, Amy Winton
The minutes from October 19, 2010 were approved with corrections.
Officially welcoming Marylou Murphy to Committee.
Parks Division Report – Jeff Mason
o Leaf pickup has been major focus the last few weeks. Pine Grove lost some trees
in the wind/rain storm but damage to town properties appears to be minimal.
o Two dead deer removed from trails.
o Preparing for December 2nd Tree Lighting Ceremony held from 5:30 – 6:30. Kate
is not available so requesting help from PACPAC members. Karen and Janet both
volunteered.
FCP Update – Lucky D’Ascanio
o Winter Brochure ready to upload to printer.
o New programs and adult trips coordinated with other communities are included.
o Again will follow Green practices with this brochure and mail only to small
demographic and those requesting mailing. Brochures will be located at schools,
library and Shaws among other public places.
o Falmouth Parks and Places map should be complete for Jaunary 2011. The final
website revisions are currently taking place.
Community Facilities Project – Judy Currier
o Nolan Lushington, who consulted on the needs and future expansion of the
Falmouth Library, has followed up with an addendum including recommendations
for 20 year projections.
o At the Council meeting a petition, signed by 1100 citizens, asking that the Lunt
and Plummer Motz buildings be preserved for civic use was presented to the
council. No action was taken but discussion will follow at future meetings.
o A video of this Council meeting will replay on the Falmouth Channel.
o The Town Council is currently working on a resolution to be followed up on at
the November 22nd meeting.
Other Business
o Marsha Clark and Amy Winton were involved with organizing the petition
signing that took place on election day. 3700 citizens voted at the Falmouth polls
on election day and 1100 signed the petition asking that Lunt and Plummer Motz
buildings be preserved for civic use.
