PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 18, 2014
EVENDALE MUNICIPAL BUILDING
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Evendale Planning Commission (EPC) was called to order by Chris Patterson at 6:00PM on February 18, 2014. Attending were EPC members Chris Patterson, Mark Ferguson and Jan Moore. Supporting the EPC were James Jeffers (Village Engineer), Pam Morin (Building Department Clerk), James Dobrozsi (Architectural Review Board Member), Ralph Terbrueggen (Landscape Architect,) and Kathy Farro (Legal Advisor.)
New Business
1. Mr. Clean Car Wash, 10199 Reading Road
Site Plan Review
Ken Littrell presented plans for modifications to the Mr. Clean Car Wash. The changes were consistent with the preliminary review he shared in January.
One bay of full-service vacuuming will be removed to accommodate self-service vacuums and associated parking spaces along the south side. The parking spaces will be handicap-size to accommodate vacuuming; this is also consistent with code. One vacuum producer will be added. It will have a silencer which will significantly reduce noise.
Jan Moore made a motion to approve the plan, Mark Ferguson seconded and the motion passed 3-0.
Internal Business
1. Minutes
The minutes from the January 29, 2014 were reviewed. A motion was made by Mark Ferguson and seconded by Chris Patterson to adopt the minutes without amendment. The motion passed without dissent, 3-0.
2. Announcements
James Jeffers informed the Commission that new signs will be placed at the Reading Road and Kingsport entrances to the Village Administration / Rec Center complex. The new graphic LCD displays will replace the current billboards and will make it easier for people to locate the Evendale building for events such as Mayor’s Court. The new signs will be in place late February or March.
Chris Patterson announced that Jack Cameron is working on a date and format for a training session for Planning Commission members.
Adjournment
On a motion made and seconded, the meeting was adjourned at 6:15pm on a 3-0 vote.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, at 6:00 PM.
