PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
January 20, 2009
EVENDALE MUNICIPAL BUILDING
The regular January meeting of the Evendale Planning Commission (EPC) was called to order by Chairperson Dick Shaffer at 6 PM on January 20, 2009. Attending were EPC members Rob Adams, Dick Shaffer, Susan van Amerongen, and Dan Frank. Supporting the EPC were James Jeffers (Village Engineer), Jack Cameron, Pam Morin, Kathy Farro and Ralph Terbrueggen (Architectural Review Board Member).
New Business:
1. Security Holdings, 10205 Reading Road - Preliminary Site plan review
Mr. Bob Adleta & Mr. William Korte, Security Holding Group, LLC presented the preliminary site plan along with the grading plan and building elevations. Suggestions were made for applicant to add aesthetic improvements to the rear elevation and that another exterior door would probably be needed. A landscape plan was not included in the packet and one would be required. A monument sign would be located at the entrance. James Jeffers has been working with the applicant on site issues such as drainage, parking and curbs. The will be a LEED project. The applicant is going for Silver Certification. It was also suggested that the applicant look into additional areas of Evendale Commons that is more suited for office.

1. Approval of Appointments
A motion was made by Rob Adams and was seconded by Susan van Amerongen to approve Dick Shaffer as chairman.
The motion passed by a 4 yes 0 no vote
A motion was made by Rob Adams and was seconded by Dick Shaffer to approve Dan Frank as secretary.
The motion passed by a 4 yes 0 no vote
2. Approval of Minutes - November 20, 2008
A motion was made by Susan van Amerongen and seconded by Rob Adams to approve the EPC minutes from November 20, 2008.
The motion passed by a 4 yes 0 no vote
On a motion to adjourn the meeting by Dick Shaffer and seconded by Susan van Amerongen, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM by a 3 yes to 0 no vote.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for February 17, 2009 at 6:00 PM.
