PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
March 20, 2007
EVENDALE MUNICIPAL BUILDING
The regular March meeting of the Evendale Planning Commission (EPC) was called to order by Chairperson Dick Shaffer at 6 PM on March 20, 2007. Attending were EPC members Susan van Amerongen, Chris Schaefer (Council Representative), Rob Adams, Dick Shaffer, and Dan Frank. Supporting the EPC were James Jeffers (Village Engineer), Linda Fitzgerald, and Pam Morin (Village Building Department Clerk).
New Business
1) Design review of sign request for Walmart building

Mr. Roger Kessler, Kessler Sign Company, and Ray Riska, McDonalds, presented a proposed sign on the Walmart building for McDonalds. EPC expressed concerns about the overall signage on the building not matching what was in the PBD. EPC asked for a larger plan of signage for the Walmart building so that all the proposed changes from the PBD can be addressed at one time. The applicant agreed to have the issue tabled until they have further discussions with Walmart.
A motion was made by Chris Schaefer and seconded by Rob Adams to table the motion until applicant resubmits. The motion passed by a 5 yes 0 no vote
Internal Business:
1) Village Engineer
Update on the opening of WalMart dateYear2007Day9Month5May 9, 2007 and the roadway modifications.
2) Economic Development Director
Report on the potential economic development efforts with Village Crossing, the Landmark property, and the motel opposite St. Rita’s.
3) Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Dan Frank and seconded by Chris Schaefer to approve the meeting minutes from dateYear2007Day26Month2February 26, 2007. The motion passed by a 4 yes and 0 no vote.
On a motion to adjourn the meeting by Chris Schaefer and seconded by Dick Shaffer, the meeting was adjourned at 6:40 PM by a 4 yes to 0 no vote. The next regular meeting is scheduled for April 17, 2007 at 6:00 PM.
