PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 20, 2005
EVENDALE MUNICIPAL BUILDING
The regular December meeting of the Evendale Planning Commission was called to order by Chairperson Jim Guthrie at 6 PM on December 20, 2005 with the following persons present:
Michael Schwartzman
Susan VanAmerongen
Dick Shaffer, Council
Chris Schaefer, Council Representative
Jim Guthrie, Chairman
James Jeffers, Village Engineer and Jack Cameron, Assistant to the Mayor were also present.
NEW BUSINESS
1) Trossert Property at 3680 Glendale Milford Road
The Village has been asked to consider the transfer of property from the Cincinnati Nature Center to the Village of Evendale. The discussion revolved around the subject properties and the covenants contained within the transfer. An issue was raised regarding the use of the existing house vis a vis the Zoning Code restrictions on residential occupancy. Since the house has been used for interns and it is anticipated to continue with interns for the Gorman Farm, compliance to the Zoning Code was considered essential for approval by Council.
Based upon this discussion and other points raised by Commission members, a motion was made by Michael Schwartzman with a second from Susan VanAmerongen to recommend approval to Council of the property transfer. The motion carried by a 5 to zero vote.
INTERNAL BUSINESS
1) Approval of the November 15th Draft minutes of the Evendale Planning Commission. On a motion by Michael Schwartzman and second from Chris Schaefer to approve the minutes as written, the motion was approved by a five to zero vote.
2) Jack Cameron briefed the Commission on an overture from Bear Creek Developers looking at the Landmark property.
3) Prior to a motion to adjourn, there was unanimous appreciation expressed by the Commission
for retiring Chairperson Jim Guthrie's service to the Village.
On a motion by Dick Shaffer and second from Jim Guthrie, the meeting was adjourned by a 5 to zero vote at 6:20 PM
