Committee Meeting
June 2, 2009 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Council Chambers, Municipal Building
Attendees: Doug Lohmeier, Stiney Vonderhaar, Carolyn Smiley-Robertson, Mayor Apking, John Ranz, Bill Puthoff, Jeff Albrinck, Jim Bothe, Chief Cruse, Chief Foust, James Jeffers, Sandra Murphy

I.      "Committee As A Whole"-  Both Council Committees met to discuss criteria, position announcement and testing procedures for the                      position of Police Chief
Council discussion was to accept the procedure presented and have a resolution for the council meeting outlining the procedure to formally accept.

II.     Gorman Heritage Farm
Sandra Murphy updated the committee the camps start June 8th and a capital improvement job of adding a fire escape to the house is complete. Mr. Vonderhaar offered his help in getting an attraction sign posted on I-75, Sandra accepted.

III.     Fire
        Chief Cruse stated that Jeff Harper was still out and undergoing rehab
        Chief Cruse advised us that Rob Haynes step-daughter had a severe spinal injury and to expect some fundraising to help the family.

IV.     Engineering
        Hamilton County Storm Water District Update
Don Mercer & James Jeffers are still reviewing & revising the proposed policy to fit the Village's purview for enforcement and certification processes.
2)      Reading Road Pathway Lights
Bids are due June 11th and ready for Council acceptance that evening.

V.      Service
Jim Bothe stated that there has been some renovations to a truck bay to house the traffic controller for the new traffic systems the Village has been installing.
