COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT CORPORATION MEETING
Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 7:30 A.M.

Attendees: Natalie Greulich, Al Pearlman, Jeff Albrinck, Hugh McKinnon, Stiney Vonderhaar, Dave Harwood, Dick Shaffer, Jack Cameron. (Doug Lohmeier absent)
Recurring Business:
1. Approval of Minutes from July, 11 2009 Meeting
a. (1st Vonderhaar, 2nd Pearlman – 6 aye, 0 nae) .
2. Economic Development update
a. Brief update on GE retention project still moving forward.
Added Business:
1. Natalie Greulich announced her resignation from CIC after many years on the CIC. Her resignation would be affected at the end of the meeting and was accepted by CIC (Albrinck 1st, Vonderhaar 2nd – 6 aye, 0 nae).
2. Hugh McKinnon was nominated and affirmed to be CIC President (Vonderhaar 1st, Albrinck 2nd – 6 aye, 0 nae).
New Business:
1. RFQ Submittals review and selection
a. Seventeen total submittals were received ranging from local to Colorado, Texas, North Carolina, New York, Columbus – OH, and Washington DC.
b. Some proposals were for a single part of the project and others were comprehensive
c. Each CIC member offered several firms they wanted to discuss further about interviewing for the ED Strategic Plan, Land Use Marketing and Master Plan monitoring.
d. Six firms were selected to interview with the CIC
i. Jacobs Engineering
ii. KMK Consulting
iii. Front Street Analytics/Kinzelman Kline Gossman
iv. TIP Strategies
v. Camoin Associates
vi. EPS/Cole Russell
Old Business:
1. Norfolk Southern
a. No follow-up information. This item was removed tabled indefinitely. Norfolk Southern could be placed back on the agenda at a later date.
