City Manager - Eastport
Eastport Maine, a vibrant, creative, resilient, diverse, coastal community, seeks a City Manager with passion for leadership and public service. As an active community with high expectations for sustainable growth, Eastport seeks an energetic Manager to balance the demands of our seasonal tourist population and our strong business community with the needs of our year-round residents.
The City Manager reports to our five-member City Council and, as chief administrator, is responsible for day-to-day operations. Fiscal restraint and creative problem-solving talent will address significant infrastructure issues.
Eastport faces many exciting development prospects. The successful Manager will research and cultivate new ideas to shape policy for increased across-the-board efficiency and community prosperity.~
The ideal candidate has experience as a city manager, skills in strong policy development, knowledge of sustainable smart growth principles, and executive level management experience. While academic degrees are preferred, candidates with real life experience will also be considered.
