Meeting Purpose:
To continue to look at the school consolidation question to see if there is an area of common
ground on which some or all of the group can move forward. A panel has been compiled of professionals representing various school collaborations and the Maine Department of Education.
Desired Outcomes:
A list of the various forms if any that consolidation could take
A list of the impacts/benefits of Essential Services Model & Potential Tax Reform
A list of the benefits of the different types of school structures
A collection of statistics and trends of school systems with our region
A list of next steps
