City Manager Welcome - Again
Officially I can now truly welcome you to the new City of
Eastport web site. It has been a long time coming but all
the pieces are now in place and we can move forward with
making it an innovative, exciting, interactive site for all to use.
We look forward to your input as well; we need to know of
errors, of ways we can help, of opportunities to better serve,
and of ways to make the page, like our community, a great
place to visit.
Some ideas we have already received include a button for
pictures of the city. We are presently working with Virtual
Town Hall to develop a connection that will tie the page, with
a click of a mouse, to some of the outstanding Eastport pictorial
sites such as Jim Lowe and Donnie Dunbar. We are also
working on a page that will allow folks to send us pictures
they would like to see posted and possibly even the concept
of a vote for you favorite Eastport view.
If you are aware of other web sites that could benefit from
a direct connection, we are also looking at improving access
for our business community as well as a special events site for;
“What is happening in Eastport?”
Again, on behalf of the Eastport City Council and the City Staff,
I want to welcome you to “Eastport on Line.”
