DMR Announces the Following:
The weather forecast calls for extensive rain today and tonight throughout the state. Rainfall totals may meet or exceed 2 inches in 24 hours, triggering emergency flood closures. This will likely be a mixed precipitation event, DMR staff monitor temperatures as well as rainfall and will not incorporate sleet or snow in developing total storm amounts. DMR staff will make any preliminary closures tonight around 10pm. Additional closures will be made around 10am on Saturday. These are not precise times that closures will be issued, they are estimates to assist the industry in planning for this event. Always check the Hotline or DMR website for the current status of closures before you harvest. If closures are made this weekend, sampling will begin Monday and continue daily until all areas are
reopened.
