DMR Announces the Following:
Area No. 500, Maine Coast Flood Closure: This notification closes the areas from Cape Neddick (York) to Cape Elizabeth, the New Meadows River (Brunswick/Harpswell) and all areas east of Indian Point (Georgetown) to the Canadian border due to rainfall reaching or exceeding 2 inches in 24 hours.
Conditional Area Closure Notice: Areas No. 11, 14, 15, 16, 21-D, 26, 27, 30-I, and 55. This notice closes the Machias River conditional areas (C. and D.) due to a CSO event at the Machias waste water treatment plant. In addition, this notification closes the rainfall conditional areas in Areas No. 11, 14, 15, 16, 21-D, 26, 27 and 30-I due to greater than one inch of rainfall in a twenty-four hour period. Areas No. 11, 15, 16, 21-D and 30-I WILL REOPEN 00:01 HOURS ON NOVEMBER 12th, 2015 and Areas No. 26 and 27 WILL REOPEN 00:01 HOURS ON NOVEMBER 7th, 2015. Due to Seasonal Closure status in addition to the rainfall closure, the Area 14 WWTP flow closure is repealed but the area will remain closed until April 30th 2016.
