The Quoddy Tides, in a firm stance of support, published an article about the importance of recycling in Eastport.  The article, in its entirety, is attached or can be found in the November 14 issue of the Quoddy Tides.

Recycling is one of the single most important steps residents may take to help keep taxes lower.  Tax payers foot the bill of approximately $170,000 a year to dispose of solid waste.  Every item removed from the "solid waste stream" helps reduce the cost to the city.

For more information on recycling, please visit the Recycling page on the city website.  Information on what can be recycled, how to sort your recycling and hours the recycling center is open can all be found in one convenient location.
