The Maine State Museum will host historian Joe Manning and his presentation, "Lives that Matter: Stories of Child Laborers in Eastport, Maine" on October 30, 6 pm.
In 2010, Joe Manning came to Peavey Library to discuss Eastport's child laborers in the sardine industry. Using historical photographs taken by Lewis Hine in 1911, Manning tells the stories of Eastport child laborers and his search for their descendants.
