On October 7, 2014, Hugh French, Director of the Tides Institute and Museum of Arts, will be awarded the "Downtown Visionary Award" by the Maine Development Foundation.
The Maine Development Foundation "drives long term, sustainable, economic growth" for Maine and will be holding its 36th annual meeting next month.
