The City of Eastport has received a Maine Coastal Communities grant for stormwater and erosion management. The funds will be used for catch basins and low impact improvements on Custom Street.
City Manager, Larry Post, states, "This grant is a wonderful opportunity to begin Eastport's much needed stormwater and erosion control measures."
The highly competitive grant was written by Assistant City Manager, Elaine Abbott, with invaluable assistance from Eastport's Director of Public Works, Richard "Dick" Quint.
Work on Custom Street is anticipated to begin this fall.
