Minutes of January 14, and January 29, 2014 meetings were approved.
Key Discussion points:
- The Meeting of January 29th attended by current Swap Shop volunteers and community residents, was reviewed. The Board of Selectmen wishes to meet with the Recycling Committee soon to discuss findings and recommendations, if any, for change.
- Chairperson Lian Smith reviewed letter she sent to BOS to request re-purposing of shed at Library to be moved to and used at Transfer Station to store items requested by community groups.
- Lian discussed the BOS request to meet with the Feb 19 to discuss Swap Shop issues. IT was decided that this date does not allow sufficient time for Committee to prepare findings and recommendations, and an extension of time would be sought.
- Literature was distributed about an upcoming regional PAYT workshop to be held on March 1.
- Flyers providing info on recycling were again discussed. Further discussion on printing was tabled until receipt of grant money can be determined. Lian will continue to pursue text idieas.
