PLANNING BOARD
May 25, 2010
MINUTES

Present: Michael Cole, Dan Coppelman, Leslie-Ann Morse, Craig Nightingale, Howard Sandler, Tom Johnson and John Knox-Alternate arrived at 5 pm
Members Absent: Don Andersen
Staff Present:  Sarah Raposa-Town Planner

Chairman Mike Cole opened the meeting at 4 pm and Town Planner acknowledges that she mistakenly posted the meeting for 5 pm. The Chair proceeded with the meeting (and recapped and revisited certain subjects when Tom and John arrived at 5pm). The Town Planner shared information available from the Library about the proposed renovations.

Tracking Update - Dan Coppelman wanted to know if the garage for 20 Hill Road has a building permit yet. If not, they will need to comply with new setback regulations passed at this year's town meeting. He also inquired about the status of 35 Brittany's Way. The tack shop is open but the conditions of the special permit have not yet been fulfilled. The Town Planner will inquire with owner for a date certain.

Joint Meeting Protocols - The ZBA does not have enough present members to procedd with a joint hearing on 6 Penny Lane for 6/9/10. The Planning Board will revisit the subject with the ZBA after reappointments in June.

Planning Board Rules and Regulations - The draft Rules and Regulations were discussed. Some amendments were made. The final draft will be available for approval at the June 9, 2010 Planning Board meeting.

Goals and Priorities - The Chair summarized and asked for input on the priorities for the Planning Board in the upcoming year. Some of the main topics were:
"       Sign Code update
"       North Eastham Village Center Zoning / Tradespark
"       Taking Holmes Road
"       Road Takings - work with BoHS on taking policy, betterments and funding
"       Community Planning Forum - to occur the weekend after Windmill Weekend.
"       Add procedure in Rules and Regulations for waiver of Residential Site Plan Approval
