Open Space Committee
Town of Eastham Minutes July 23,2014
Meeting began at 7:00pm with 4 members present: Bob Gurney(chair) Bob Jacovino, Bob Cook,Karen Baker and from Natural Resources Dick Hilmer.
The minutes of the May and June meetings were reviewed and accepted as written. Harris property review: The property has been purchased and recorded. It was purchased at Town meeting. The deed was recorded but conservation restrictions have not been established. Our objectives tonight would be to determine what to do for parking and what conservation restrictions should apply.
In response to a request by Town Administrator for the committee to identify the best way to increase parking capacity, the committee recommended an area immediately adjacent to and south of the existing parking area, no larger than the existing area and similarly unpaved The motion to make this the committee's recommendation was made and seconded and unanimously passed.
Motion made and seconded by the committee to have Dick Hilmer review other conservation restrictions in the town, to determine what best would apply to the Harris property. Motion passed unanimously.
Sandy Meadows: B.O.S requested increasing parking area to 6 spaces(2 being handicap)Because of the extra expenses that would be involved the OSC recommended we word the proposed BID to include options for both 4 and 6 car parking areas in order to give the town alternatives. Motion made to this effect was seconded and passed.

Being no further business the meeting closed at 7:50pm
