PRESENTATION  WATER QUALITY ASSESSMENT

Amie A..Vos (Americorps) gave the water quality presentation that included the results of the  nitrate study.  The study was established in order to monitor the same 59 properties for nitrate levels over a ten year period.. Amie presented a series of graphs showing the results of the water analysis for the ten year period.. As the results show, there are changes in the nitrate levels from year to year, however since this study did not examine the causes to the nitrate levels, no conclusions can be drawn as to why there were fluctuations in the nitrate levels.  Amie stated that the  data collected through out the ten years is useful.  She concluded that it is important to continue to educate the public about nitrate levels and also to study what causes those high levels as well as how to fix the problem.
