Also Present: Chris Ross with Mass DEP, Tim Brady of East Cape Engineering, David Valovcin, Judy and Adam Symanski, members of the Silver Springs Beach Association.
Chris Ross from DEP requested to meet with the Commission, waterfront property owners David Valovcin, Judy and Adam Symanski, and the Silver Springs Beach Association to discuss the state of the Valovcin and Symanski coastal bank and the appeal by Helen Valovcin to the Amended Order of Conditions issued by the Commission to the Silver Springs Beach Association for moving their stairs closer to the coastal bank and cutting the top of the bank. The concerns of the Association centered around access to the beach still being allowed through the easement between the Valovcin and Symanski properties, and the concerns of the two homeowners were for the future protection of the coastal banks on their properties. Chris Ross stated that the waterfront property owners and the association have a real opportunity to work
with each other to come to a solution that addresses both of their concerns as well as meet wetland regulations.
