Present: Chris Ross from DEP, Helen Valovcin and attorney, Karen Antin, Gunther Klink.
Commissioners Present: Sandra Larsen, Linda Haspel, Vivien Cook, Steven LaBranche, and Stephen Smith.
Staff Present: Deputy Officer of Natural Resources Amy Usowski
Chris Ross from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection called for this meeting to discuss the request for a Superceding Order of Conditions by Helen Valovcin in regards to the Amended Order of Conditions issued by the Conservation Commission to the Silver Springs Beach Association for moving the stairs closer to the face of the coastal bank as well as cutting the top of the coastal bank back to create a lesser angle of repose. The purpose of this was for DEP to determine if the activity permitted by the Commission would have an adverse impact on the stability of the coastal bank and its ability to perform storm damage prevention and flood control according to the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act.
