EASTHAM COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE
Meeting: April 27, 2006
Attendance: Glenn Collins, Cheryl Gayle, Martin McDonald, Kathryn Sette, Elizabeth Simmons, Sue Horton, David J. Skiba, Committee Members, and Sheila Vanderhoef, Town Administrator
The Committee reviewed the final draft of the Town Meeting Warrant Articles No. 18-24 pertaining to the Preservation Act.
There was a question of whether the Aschetino expenditure of $65,000.00 shown on Article 12, Budget Line 81, was a duplication of the warrant article. Sheila advised that the placement of the expenditure on Article 12 was appropriate and the funding for such is allocable to the Community Preservation funds.
Glenn suggested contacting proponents of the various articles to address any questions at Town Meeting and delegated the task.
Sheila explained that Article 22 of the Town Meeting Warrant will address FY2007 funds for 2.5% administrative expenses based on state statutes.
Article 24 will cover the 10% distribution for leftover funds.
At Town Meeting 500 information sheets will be produced and distributed. Sheila presented a standard water test for the Neighborhood Gas Station property without any VOC or organic compound results. Sheila indicated that Alice Boyd might be available to answer funding questions.
Kathryn moved and Liz seconded that the March 29th minutes be accepted and all members present approved.
The members noted a need to discuss the preparation of contracts for CPA funds with the Town Administrator in the near future, and scheduled the next meeting for Thursday, May 25, 2006, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
David J. Skiba
