Monthly Meeting Minutes For The November 2, 2005 Meeting
Meeting called to order at 8:15 A.M..
Members:
· Present were Chairman Ron Rencurrel, Don Ouellette, Bernadette Burgess, Michael Kain, Dave Badger, Bob Donahue, and Dave Maynard
· Absent with permission was Tina Jas
· Representing the Town Selectmen, Peter Whitlock (absent)
Minutes of the October meeting were changed as follows:
Change P.M. to A.M.
Change Bernadette Burgess to safety/signage along with Bob and Mike.
Change Don Ouellette to lead the area of communication and include members, Dave Maynard and Ron Rencurrel.
Add Tina Jas to special events.
Minutes accepted as corrected.
Old Business:
Don Ouellette will make a list of resource contacts for the bikeways committee.
New Business:
· Dave Maynard will try to get the committee’s Brackett Road suggestions on the selectmen’s November 21 agenda. We will meet with the BOS on November 21, 2005 at 6:15 PM.
· Don will e-mail Peter Whitlock concerning the Brackett Road plans.
· Ron will send a letter to the selectmen with regard to the committee’s proposal for Brackett Road.
Other Business:
· Tunnel project—Dave Maynard could possibly get a set of plans for improving the tunnel from Dan O’Brien. Perhaps the committee could offer input before the plans are finalized.
· Also, from Dave Maynard: The bikeways committee should investigate a) parked cars near the trail obstruct the view of both motorists and bikers. b)the state safety laws with regard to bikers and motorists and c)a Wall Street Journal article dealing with Federal Transportation money that could go to the states for bike trail improvement.
The next meeting will be on December 7, 2005 at 8:15 A.M.
