EASTHAM BOARD OF ASSESSORS
Minutes of February 1, 2010 Meeting
Meeting convened at 12:00 pm.
Present: Assessors Sette, Avery, and Fagan, Field Appraiser Belinda Clarey, and Deputy Assessor Gail Fitzback
- The Board voted to accept the minutes of the January 25, 2010 meeting.
- Chairman Sette and the Board thanked Assessor Avery for his many years of service as an Assessor and to the Town of Eastham. His appraisal knowledge has been a wonderful resource in achieving fair and equitable valuations. The Board is grateful Assessor Avery has agreed to continue to serve as the Board’s Alternate. Assessor Cahill will return to the Board as a regular member after serving as the Alternate.
- The Board voted unanimously to partially abate the real estate taxes for William & Mary Choquette, William & Susan Davis, David Gooding, John & Jeanine Quick, Bryan & Deborah Treadwell, Jeffrey & Carol Valli, and Frank & Margaret Vangeli. The Board voted 2-0 to partially abate the real estate taxes for Cape Cod Partnership LP, Deborah Bainton, Roger & Evelyn Dumas, and Lynch Real Estate Limited Partnership. Assessor Fagan recused herself because she knew the applicants professionally.
- The Board voted unanimously to deny the real estate abatement applications for, George & Brenda Marshall, and Bainton Estate Realty Trust. The Board voted 2-0 to deny the real estate abatement applications for Susan Johnson for the Estate of Eleanor Seaman and Deborah Bainton. Assessor Fagan recused herself because she knew the applicants professionally.
The Board reviewed and voted FY10 exemptions.
The meeting adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
