Public Hearing Minutes
April 6, 2010
A Public Hearing of the Water Pollution Control Authority was held at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.  The members in attendance included:

Mark Barmasse, Chairman                  Dag Lindland           
Elizabeth Mackie                                   John Hanson                            Dave Kelsey

Mr. Abraham was not present. Also in attendance were Jeffery O’Keefe, Town Manager, Vincent Susco, Public Utilities Administrator, and Pam McCann, recording secretary.

Members of the public included Peter Carli, representing Hampton Woods Development and   Theodore Hart, Milone & MacBroom engineer for the development.

Call to Order
Chairman Barmasse called the Public Hearing to order to accept public comment for the proposed wastewater extension known as Hampton Woods an Affordable Townhouse Community at 5:02 P. M. He read the Public Hearing notice, which is attached and made a part of the minutes.

Public Comment of the proposed sewer extension know as Hampton Woods
Mr. Barmasse introduced Mr. Hart who presented a map which outlined the proposed wastewater system. He explained that the wastewater system for this 253 unit development will consist mostly of a gravity sewer lines and include two lift stations, one building with have individual grinder pumps due to the depth of the sewer main. This system will connect to the existing manhole located in East High Street.  From there the waste will flow east to the newly constructed Town Line Lift Station before being redirected to the west where it will join the main flow to the wastewater treatment plant. This project will be developed in stages.

Mr. Hart responded to several questions from the members. He indicated the Town’s Inland Wetlands Commission has approved the project and that the project is presently before the Town’s Planning and Zoning Commission.

At this time Chairman Barmasse opened the meeting to public comment. There being no comments from the public, Chairman Barmasse called for the meting to be closed.

Mr. Lindland motioned seconded by Mr. Hanson to close the meeting.  All voting in favor.

Adjournment
The public hearing was closed at 5:22 P.M.
